Abstract
The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of the Learning Tree Cognitive Learning model on emotional and prosocial behavior of children with developmental delay in the classroom. The subjects of this study were 20 experimental groups and 20 control groups of 4 year old children living in Gyeonggi-do. The intervention program was provided twice a week, a total of 12 sessions, and was integrated into the daily work program. This study designed a pre- and post-control group. The intervention program used to verify the effectiveness of this study was verified through literature studies and content validity. The pre-post test tools were the Caregiver-Teacher Report Form (C-TRF) and the Pro-social Behavior Evaluation Scale (PBSYC). Mann-Whitney U was tested for data analysis to verify the homogeneity of the two groups and the effectiveness of the pre and post-test was verified by Wilcoxon signed Frank test. The Learning Tree Cognitive Model program, which was conducted in the education program for children with developmental delays, was effective in reducing emotional behavior problems of children participating in research and promoting prosocial behavior with peers(p<.05).
